Default Question regarding Rippetoe.

Scoured through the posting but didnt see this listed for questions. Just joined a gym that is close to home, only issue I have with it is that there are no free weights, I perform the 3 "major exercises" (squats, deads, and presses) using power rack. Will this inhibit me from performing the exercises correctly seeing as the guide will only allow the bar to go straight up and down?

Yes, you need to find a gym with free weights. Can you believe my gyms shut on xmas day, i may not have mentioned it before. So like you i need to look for a new gym.

If my gym was open on xmas, then I would find another gym to train at.
