^^^ yeah true.....u need to be able to focus on ur long term goals....and it takes a certain mentality/attitude to be able to pull off a 5x5...

I find that people usually get bored when their progress slows down. If you consistently go into the gym and lift heavier and heavier weights, you're probably going to be pretty excited for the next workout to see how much more you can do. That's my experience anyway...maybe I'm just fucked up

im with kane here, even ith rippetoes. as long as the weights are going up im interested in how hard my next lift is going to be. but when i stagnate i get bored and occationally skip days to nap after school, but then again im pretty lazy...

I love the 5x5 so much that I have gone this route and use 3x10 for isolation exercises only. All my core lifts are 5x5 and I have had tremendous results. When people ask me how I gained so much size in the past year I tell them dft 5x5!!!
