Default Real Training Weights Vs the land of make believe

Hey folks,
Dont we just love to see the black and white photos of Pro Bodybuilders inclining 495 plus. or squating 700lbs plus for reps! Well, I hate to disappoint you, but I have been out to California to see these monsters train, yes they are HUGE but not as strong as the magazines paint the picture. I have seen Marvin Anthony train and he inclined 365 for 5 reps top. I dont think he could get anymore and this was in off season shape. I would say VERY few pros could even hope for 405 incline for reps. The 700lb squat. no way. I saw Troy Alves and, although a super nice guy, he could barley go higher than 495 for 6 reps and this was parallel. So, pictures dont always paint a thousand words. Sorry troops
