Default How to split up my workout?

Ive been spending some time today really trying to get myself the best workout possiable and I was thinking is one type of lifting plan better then the other. Ive narrowed it down to 2 options I think will work best.

A:
2 days on
1 OFF
2 days on
1 OFF

With this kind I would work Chest/shoulders 1 day then legs 1 day OFF. Id return to do back/shoulder/traps then next day do arms/calves. This is my current workout.

B:
3 days on
1 OFF
2 days on
1 OFF

This is the one I was considering going to. Where I would basically work 1 body group per on day. day 1 chest, 2 back, 3 shoulder. OFF day. then I would return to do arms on day 4 then day 5 legs. followed by the last off day. So with this plan I would focus on only 1 muscle groupe per day.

Im not sure if one would give an advantage over the other. The only thing I can figure is that with option A I might give some muscle groups a little extra work with the over lap. While B would maybe give a better work out one each group sense I am only working on 1 at a time and can fully burn it out. Again im new to a body building type workout as I come to a sports lifting program.

The only person who knows how your body will react is you, but a tip or two. Your only working each part once per week, not a big gainer. Try upper day 1, lower day 2, off day three, upper day4, lower day 5, off 2 days. Or full body mon, wens, fri. And forget to deadlift.
