but look at the load being used. they are 50-70% for most of the excercises. this is not much of a load, and shouldnt be too demanding. I did the squat routine from t-nation. squats 2x a day. the morning was 30%,and night was 50% of 1rm. then 2x a week, the intensity was 80-85% for a workout.
The intensity is less than hitting your large body parts 2-3 times a week like in dc, westside,5x5, and many others.
If your shoulders are a weak point,it would be something to hit on. you are only as strong as your weakest link.
I wouldnt do flat bench on this, but try floor presses,or incline. I dont do flat bench because it messes with my shoulder.
Some people use a 4-5 day muscle split, this could work in that sort of setup.

That's a good point. I skimmed over the lighter load part, but I'd still be too sore from such a high volume that my chest and triceps would get robbed of a good workout. I was also going by what BradG stated.

And I'm gonna have to redo my chest workout...a comment by the author suggested that other pressing movements be limited. I'm thinking decline db's and maybe (yuch) flyes.
To me that's a good indicator that maybe it's too much if it interferes with all your other muscles.

Plus, from my own experience, doing high volume with a hugely submaximal load such as 50% gives me only a good pump and DOMS for days. Unless you're doing a SD like in HST, I don't see lifting 50% of anything being productive IMO.
