Default Smith machine
I had a look around a couple of gyms yesterday, one was bascially a fitness room attached to a golf club, absolute crap. The other is a leisure centre with is new and pretty decent. However it appears they don't have a squat cage or whatever it is, instead the guy showing me round says they have a smith machine.

I don't want to leave myself short as I know the squat is the most important life I will have to do when I commence training. Will one of these do the business or am I best to check out some more gyms? Thing is this one is on my doorstep.
