Slow songs for me hands down. I could listen to Slayer all day which gets me motivated as all hell, but it's the slow songs that make me a fucking madman. I'm able to warp my past memories into something that didn't happen, but would make me kill someone if they had LOL.. So picture that, plus a slow song = New PR. And I'm serious enough to ask everyone to really give it a try.

I agree, at times I use slow songs, sometimes it just slows my mind down to focus on my set.
I really only listen to a fast song 5 seconds before a set to get me hyped. Then when the bar is in my hands, I totally forget about what I am hearing.

Cascada helps me get through the high-rep stuff, and cardio, while I Will Be Heard from Hatebreed makes me plow through the heavy work, among many others. The heavy, pulsing beat of E40's Tell Me When to Go gets me going, no pun intended! For the most part, anything moderately heavy works for me, like Disturbed, Godsmack, and Motograter. Speaking of Daath, my friend took a pic. w/ them, in some field.
What DH says is true. Some slow songs like Stand by Rascal Flatts really get me going! I'm not a fan of rap, though. Nothing against it, it just doesn't 'speak' to me. I love hip-hop, though!
