Default Speed/Agility info

Since I am a recovering fat ass, I was pondering how to get my speed and agility back up to par. Especially in the area of foot work. This is a good read on that subject, and if you guys have anything along these lines post it up.

Plyometrics are the best IMO.

yeah dave i'm definately working these into my workouts from now on. My foot and hand speed need work, as do my balance and stances.

I'm still trying to figure out what he is talking about with the low box depth push ups.

it really depends on the movement. There are trunk twists that you use a medicine ball to throw back and forth.

I wouldn't use weight till you've been doing these for 6 month or so on the ones that do not require weight, e.i., pushups, box climbs, etc. And if you were going to add weight it would be small just because of the bouncing and jerking motion some of these have.

or if you have the cash for it, invest in a weight vest. I know Elite Fitness has them and they are pricy but I have a friend that has a 40 pound one and he loves it. You can adjust the weight from I think 2.5-40lbs.
