Everyone should pay attention to the essence of that description. At it's simplest it is squat down, grab the bar, and do your best to stand up. Notice it does not say bend over and grab the bar. Or throw your ass in the air and pull with your back. Just about every deadlift video I see someone is doing this with 400 some odd pounds...

Keep in mind that I know a lot of people will do that without realizing it or have something happen and not know how to correct it. But most guys do it becaue their lower backs start out stronger than their hams, glutes (and quads) so throwing up the hips allows them to lift more. So they keep doing it. Dumb.

If you act sanctimonious I will just list out your logical fallacies until you get pissed off and spew blasphemous remarks.
