Oh, and you can also do complexes (with barbells) which is something like this (the guy calls it a circuit but it's really more a complex).

Oh, I'm sorry, you mean like the 3x3....

Yes, for your heavy lift you can do anything like that. You can switch it up (you should switch it up) and you can do more or less depending on how much you want to push it. It's really fairly easy to maintain your strength from an absolute strength standpoint.
