Default Stallone/Lundgren 3 day Split

Hi, I've read about a workout that Sylvester Stallone and Dolph Lundgren used for prep for Rocky IV. It was a three day split - chest and backs/shoulders, arms and legs - six days a week, with ab training twice a day. Does anybody know what exercises would I benefeit from if I wanted to follow that regimen for about 5 to 7 weeks. What exercises, reps and sets. Whatever you guys can help me with would be helpfull. I would like to go to six days if possible. Thanks for your help.

in order to mimic what those two looked like, you would also need to mimic thier aas usage also. I wouldnt advise a 6 days on, 1 day off split unless your using gear.

I want to get cut and lose about 11 to 14 lbs. I am 45, 5'8" and 182 lbs. I have lost about 30 lbs since I started working out . It will be 1 yr in June since I joined the gym. I was reading articles about Stallone for a while and also bought his book. I modified some of his techniques to fit a workout of 5 days a week and i feel that maybe my workout is starting to stall. So, I figured if I can step up to the next level and go to a 6 day split. There was something that I read that Stallone did for Rambo II: Mon - Wed - Fri: chest, back, arms, shoulders and abs. Tue - Thur - Sat: calves, thighs, rear delts, traps and abs. I guess I am still new at this, but I figured if he was trained by Franco Columbu, it sure looked like it pays off for him till this day. Any advice on a workout to lose weight and get cut. Thanks again for all the input.

Like hrdgain said don't do a 6 on 1 off unless you plain on using gear...You will not recover fast enough and most likely over train which will lead to losing muscle and hurting yourself (in time).

In regards to losing weight, there are alot of different types of programs you can do just read some stickies.....Also 90% of losing weight would be in your diet, so what's that like?

I agree with Talo and Hrdgain on a 6 day split being too much unless you are using gear. With dropping weight (bodyfat) read the stickies and cleaning up the diet would be the first step.
