Question still a bit confused, i need some answers

My first post, so I say hello to all reading. I'm a 27 yo which got used to bad junk diet for a long time but never got fat, 150lbs at 6'10", and allot of beer everyday. Two weeks ago I joined the gym and I want to change my lifestyle, I'm not only after muscle growth. And I was thinking this was supposed to be easy. Until now I went 5/7 times to the gym, but i feel this may be too much keeping in mind that I do physical effort an work everyday, 5/7.
So my first question is How many times a week you recommend me to work out and how long a break for a specific muscle after exercise(1-2-3 days)?
So I try to change my diet, its a good start and everything works ok until now, but I simply just can't eat enough food for my necessary of calories intake 2800kcal+. I'll start taking proteins in 5-10 days, but in terms of food, What should I do or what should I eat to meet my calories+? but keeping in mind that I find it hard to accomplish in my situation, eating 6-7 times a day.

Just this for now, but I'll be back with more if i get good feedback. If you have any question, just fire up!

thanks for being here

I feel ur pain, bro. I'm in the same boat. 6'6" and never gained any weight no matter what crap I crammed down. Tip one, slow down on the beer, even stop. Two, You need to take in more like 4000 cals at ur size. And don't wait for pro. start as soon as poss. Post ur diet sow we can c were u need to improve. Read the stickies.

With training its a good start with 2 on 1 off 2on 2off, upper and lower split. It's going to be hard and slow. I have been training for 17 yrs and finally pushing 200 lbs, just can't break it, set in upper 190's for 3 months now. Keep it going no matter what.

That's what we all thought when we got into this, that it's going to be easy, and boy did we all get the surprise of our lives. I'm glad you said that you want to change your lifestyle, because this is a lifestyle. As for the protein, start as soon as possible. You can also try a good quality MRP shake, I have no idea what you guys have in the US, maybe SSN, or EAS.
