Default Taking a break

I recently took a week break from working out due to vacation and currently have a 5 day split. Heh i tried to workout but it was so damn hot haha. Anyway i was wondering if i would regress at all since really no exercise was done the whole week. Im not one to take breaks from my routine thats why i seem paranoid about it.

No. To actually lose muscle mass it's more like 2 weeks (I think). One week will decondition your muscles, which will account for some strength loss. Other than that, a week off does two things for you:

1. Saps some conditioning away from your muscles so when you return to lifting, you'll be a little sore, but you'll stand to gain a little more since your body's rested.
2. Joints are healed.
