Benching and Curling
I heard it was bad to benchpress and then curl in the same work out... Is there any thruth in this?

There is no truth to that. Grouping push/pull muscles are a great idea.
However, the only reason you may have heard that is normally some people get exhausted after a chest work out and therefore have not enough energy to train their arms to the max.
That happened to me, and therefore I train arms separately.

It isnt harmful if thats what you mean. But many people perfer to put bi's with other things like back, because you are already using them in your back workout, and its easy to finish them off afterward.

People and training preferances are so different. Just fine what works for you.
Some would arge that training bi after back is not as effective because those muscles are exhausted and therefore you are unable to go to the max.
Just play around, see what works for you.

I say that and stand by it 200%. That's the difference between 19 inch arms and 16 inch arms. At least in my case and everyone else I know. Anyway, I used to do chest and biceps for a while. (see 0311 bulking journal). By the time I was through with my chest workout, it was usually at the 45 minute mark. Barbell curls was first up on my list. I was only able to do 135 for 4 or so reps. I could really feel the fatigue and lack of motivation set in. Now I blown past that saving biceps for their own day and had tremendous results. It's all about personal preference. I never got hurt or nothing doing both bench and curls, it was just the lack of intensity that got me.

Thx for all the info, and i can relate to the lack of motivation after doing chest and going for an intense workout on my bi's. I just needed to know if any harm to myself would follow, and now i have the answer, thx again

If I am going to work on anything else on my chest day, its either back or triceps. Oh shit, I can barely walk on chest/back day, because all my muscles are pumped up. I do the tricep along the chest if I dont have energy, so that way I work out a body part thats already warmed up.

almost seems like these answers are all opinionated in some fashion or another. I was wondering if the acidity level of your bicep is breaking down and tearing in 2 different places could cause seperation of the muscle from bone. If anyone has any type of hard evidence that this is not bad to do back it up with something other than "Try to do it, and see what works best for you." That is one of the worst statements... There are some muscle workouts when done back to back is horrible and counter productive. Just throw some info thanks!

Look, some people are different than others. I know for a fact that doing curls after chest won't hurt you. I'm at the heavy end of the spectrum. I did a 45 minute chest workout with 365 lbs, then blasted my biceps for almost 6 months and it never hurt me. I'm sure you aren't up to that much weight so don't worry so much. If you do an hour for a back workout and actually lift heavy, then try to lift biceps, then to some extent it isn't very productive. Talking about acidity levels and other trash does nothing. The only time doing muscle workouts back to back is counterproductive is if they are two major muscle groups, like chest and shoulders. Pair a large muscle group with a smaller one and you're fine. Also, people are trying to help so lower the arrogance. If you want lab results of acidity levels then you're in the wrong place... :eek:
