Upper chest area.

I'm a bit confused on this upper chest thing..

isn't the Clavicular Head the upper chest and doesn't it
get worked with incline presses?

on your second link....do you see how it says "see general chest" exercises so....chest exercises...work....the chest

Yes. It also gets worked with flat presses.

Ah...I think I see what you're saying.

Even though there is a smaller upper chest head (the clavicular head) that does get worked with incline presses, it does so at the same time as the rest of the chest gets worked (the sternal head). And therefore you can't work either to the exclusion of the other.

Well, wolf and rat should probably duke it out in private messages. But i noticed that my upper chest was lacking and out of proportion, giving my chest a sloped down look, rather than a round, filled out look. The problem was in my technique for incline presses, i lowered the bar too far forward. If you want to devlop the upper area of the chest, lower it just below the neck, on the collar bone area. And by the way, i think it is FUCKING BULLSHIT whoever says you cant work certain areas of the chest. Every single pro bodybuilder will tell you otherwise, and i can spot a guy a mile away who doesnt do incline work. Im living proof that a lack of incline will give you bad proportions, and that its there for a reason.

well otis didnt you say. you werent doing inclines proper in the first place? that would mean you werent even working your chest to tough from the gate anyway. second. if you are lowering it on your collar bone i would say you still arent doing it correctly. i would agree that you should be closer to your collar bone that you having the bar as far forward as you say, but it should be off the top of yoru chest. if you are that close to your neck from what i understand that may ba a complete different excerices than an incline
