Well in my opinion running on trademill or cardio before working out is a good warmup.

Sarah_Ming 01-14-2011 04:21 AM

it is very difficult to do some exercises without warming up

Running on a treadmill may warm up your body in the sense that it gets the blood flowing around ... but it will *not* prepare you for heavy weight exercises. Warming up for a heavy weights requires ... well, weights!

Darkhorse you make such a good point here- so many people spend so much time lifting weight that they've been able to lift for years. Do a decent warmup to avoid injury and help blood flow and then crank that weight up! The final set should be the heaviest...don't come back down or it wastes time!
