That is the warmup listed in the Max-OT articles. All this week, I applied the technique to my first sets of the day for each muscle group. Seemed to work okay. It's really tempting for those middle sets (3 and 1 rep) not to do more, but I'm sticking to the plan for right now.

So to answer your question, I would say "yes". Although I am not following their ab routine.

You can find the entire artice at: www.ast-ss.com All you have to do is give your e-mail address. I haven't gotten any spam yet from them. An alternative is to go to yahoo, and create a new account that you use for sites that you have to register for. This way, you can give out that e-mail and you won't care if you get spam.
