Default not deadlift

Usually I do not do dead lift, but I usually lift 245 lbs in good morning 8 times.

Default notes

I am watching world record bench press videos in you tube. I observed that if I do the same bench press movement, as they do from arm and elbow point of view, everybody at the gym will tell me that I am cheating. Because, I will be doing only half movement.
The guys on the videos touch the chest, but if the elbow is observer many of them bent arm only 90 degree.

The point is to get the bar to the chest. The end justifies the means...arm position doesn't matter in a competition. You might as well count which people wiggle their ears when they're pressing.

It doesnt matter. You must touch the chest.

This is a message to all NEWBIES and UNINFORMED people who might be reading this thread: DO NOT LISTEN TO reyinqu. HIS ADVICE IS BS.

Reyinqu: please do some reading before posting. These sort of questions have been answered before. Your arguments for not doing the bench press properly are silly and simply excuses. Given the information that you do not deadlift but you do good mornings with 245 lbs for 8 reps, I think you are either a troll or an idiot.

Anuj, I'm not sure that reyinqu is giving advice, I think he is just wording his questions oddly.

I thought it was someone else who was asking the question! What a goof I am indeed...LOL.

In that case: sorry for the hostility. Relinqu, the right form for a bench press is to touch your chest. If you dont touch your chest, you arent doing a proper bench press. You dont have to touch your chest. You could just stop 2 inches above. BUT: that you cannot call that a bench press because it isn't a bench press.
