Default What point do I start performing situps

I use to weigh 280 pounds now I am at 247.5. I have belly left mainly in the upper area. Stair master and eliptic machines has help greatly. At what point do I start situps or should I loose more weight before I start the situps?

It really doesn't matter. To quote (I think it was) Kane, "300 situps aren't going to do anything but burn". Whether or not you're toned has much less to do with 'spot' exercises and more to do with diet, cardio, etc. I'm certainly no expert on it but doing loads of situps and exercises with zero weight isn't going to get you that ripped look.

X2 It wouldnt hurt to start some weighted situps but as far as seeing a difference.....only diet and cardio is gonna help for now

The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four persons is suffering from some sort of mental illness. Think of your three best friends -- if they're okay, then it's you.

It was. ;)

You can do the weighted situps and heavy ab work, but you won't see your hardwork until you melt those pounds off. So don't get discouraged when abs aren't poking through, they're in hiding

^^x2 use resistants or heavy db or use a plate and hold close to your chest and do sit ups. hanging leg lifts will help alot. look up woodchops they will give you good results if you stick with it, yeah it'll be painful but do it if you really want abs.
