Default What's your favorite.....?

Once again, just trying to get the community active here....Post you favorite training routines, exercises, rep ranges, techniques, etc. Hopefully this will add some life to this place....

Favorite Training: Haven't found one that really wows me. I am an experimenter so I try program that aren't as mainstream. Right now, I am doing Tri-Phase Training (Found it through bodybuilding.com)

Favorite Exercise: Shoulder Press, Bent Over BB Rows

Favorite Techniques: I love throwing in some extreme drop sets at the end of a workout.

I train for strength primarily. I focus on one of the main lifts per day.

Monday - Bench
Tuesday - Deads

Thursday - Military Press
Friday - Squats

There are supporting exercises for each day as well. Check out my journal in the personal journal section if you want more details.

I'll check that out. I'm guessing the Deadlift days are when you do your Lat work too?

I train for overall fitness. I particularly like to focus on muscle quality. Slow reps on upward and downward motions. Try to hit exhaustion around the 8-10 rep mark.

Nice. Slow reps to activate the different types of muscle fibers. Good technique. By exhaustion I'm guessing you mean failure.

The 5x5 routine has always worked for me. Once I get my body fat back in check (I'm a little high, not out of control though) I'm going to train that way for a bit. My personal favorite excercise is the dead lift, as I have always been strong at it.

Sounds good. I've heard A LOT of people that get great results on the many 5x5 variations.
