Default womans training routine?

Looking for a programme for my girlfriend, she wants to tone up and loose weight, she's not into body building, just looking for any routine that would help her reach her goal quickly and effectively?
she's around 5' 6" and weighs around 9 and a halfish stone.
most important parts to improve are stomache, thighs, tighter upper arms and she wants a toned bum but doesn't want it to go any smaller..if that's possible?! She knows what to do with her diet its just the routine that she needs, any help would be appreciated! thanks

Get her on Starting strength, get her on a good diet, and she should be a lot firmer and tighter in a couple of months

You say she wants tighter upper arms so why not? to be honest though just doing 3x5 squats and benches 2-3 days a week would probably do for what your GF wants.

She should be doing a balanced routine. If you start taking this or that out, then you end up with all kinds of imbalances. Bench pressing without rowing can cause lots of problems. You don't have to be a 400lb monster to have this happen either...it happens to a lot of people when they're starting out. Besides poor form and imbalances caused by poor form, imbalances caused by poor exercise selection cause lots of injuries.
