She should be doing a balanced routine. If you start taking this or that out, then you end up with all kinds of imbalances. Bench pressing without rowing can cause lots of problems. You don't have to be a 400lb monster to have this happen either...it happens to a lot of people when they're starting out. Besides poor form and imbalances caused by poor form, imbalances caused by poor exercise selection cause lots of injuries.
