One heavy days, I like to have some protein powder in a disposable water bottle w/ water. Or, I'll take some BCAA capsules, bust them open w/ my teeth and drink it. It's nasty, but it gets the job done.
Another popular option is to take some dextrose or maltodextrin, during a long/very hard wo.
