Monstaface weightloss part 2

1 Attachment(s)
aight. i was debating whether or not to start a thread on this because of how shitty the other one went with the injuries and what not. but i thought about it and said to myself hey why not.

ill post the workout i do later but for right now i just want a little nutritional advice. and i know alot of people will recommend fit day, but im gonna be straight. nine times out of 10 i wont bother filling it on a regular.

ok. so far today. i had

4 eggs
big bowl of cheerios with 16 ounces of milk
a banana
a nice size salad with balsamic dressing and 2 drumsticks
2 more drumsticks

i have yet to eat dinner but it will be chicken and a salad again.

now i will drink 2 protein shakes a day and i will add a little bit more food during the day i.e celery and peanute butter and more fruit.

my question is just by looking at that, should i make my main meals a little bit bigger? like i said i plan on adding more food during the day but im thinkin i should add maybe one more peice of chicken during thoe main meals. 2 drumsticks is 44 grams of protein.

current weight.

Pitysister 10-14-2008 12:49 PM

chicken legs own :)

get lots more veggies in there. spinach and red beans....green beans...

MONSTAFACE 10-14-2008 12:52 PM

word. i was gonna do that when i got a little bit more loot to spend.

and yeah chicken legs are good bread. a lot easier to eat on a regular than breats are, but not as fatty as the thigh. so i am gonna add more veggies. do you think i should add a little more chicken

What do you have against beef? +40 grams of protein in a meal should be fine. Instead of adding another drumstick to two meals, add another meal that consists of two drumsticks. Your nutrient timing will be a little better that way.

I guess to cut you'll need around 2700 calories or so. I don't know if you figured that out or care. It will probably be easier to just eat for a while and see if you need to eat more or less. That's how I generally do and I think you do the same.

Good luck. I'm looking forward to reading your journal! :)

Cradler 10-14-2008 03:25 PM

^^x2, good luck man. I'll def keep up with this.

EricT 10-14-2008 03:34 PM

I thought that said two thousand nine hundred ninety eight pounds for a sec.

MONSTAFACE 10-14-2008 04:03 PM

thats how much i weighted in another liftime lol.

and i plan on eating beef. i just want to cut it down. i dont want to eat beef no more than once or twice a week. i want eat completly clean for a while. no seasonings or nothing.

and thats prob waht i will do. just add another meal.

WORKOUT

i did some sled pushing today. MAAAAAAAAAAAN was that tiring. i used it on the basketball court. i used half of the court and i pushed it from left to right on the court instead of up and down. one trip to the right and back to the left was 1 trip.

i started with one 45 plate the 2 then 3. i honestly dont know how many i did. i just kept doing them over and over again. i did a good amount. i did them to the point i was laying on the floor for a while. a few guys i know from the gym did them with me and one of the guys said he felt like throwin up lol.

thats def a good workout. somethign i will be doing everyday. the only thing is the harnes for my shoulders is to small :)

TALO 10-14-2008 04:05 PM

I would think you could start with 3500 cals. I'm just going off of what I do with 2600-2700 and I'm 230.

I would also say try and get some red meat in there. Lean ground beef , sirloin or flank steaks are good. And also try and get some fish in. If your not eating any fish atleast get some fish oils 8-10g a day would be good.

Are you taking any supplements ?

TALO 10-14-2008 04:07 PM

Remember the more cardio you do the more you can eat.

MONSTAFACE 10-14-2008 04:11 PM

aight well i will up the beef intake a some. i have some london briols and some sirlion in the freezer, but i was savign it for my brother.

and no supplements. i will eventually get some fiber pills. i do have some fishoil pills. and i will drink a protein shake or 2 a day.

TALO 10-14-2008 04:15 PM

You should get a good multi , fish oil ( you said you have) Green tea , helps with weight loss - I take pills and drink a few cups a day.

I think if you don't have much money these are not that expensive.

MONSTAFACE 10-15-2008 07:23 AM

ok cool. i wil lwork on getting that stuff.

and i will have to work on eatiing more in the morning. i wake up a little before 4. so from then until lunch which is 12 i eat 4 eggs and a big bowl of cheerios. im gonna need more than that cause im starving right now

ChinPieceDave667 10-15-2008 09:03 AM

Man you are a beefy dude. good luck on you diet.

MONSTAFACE 10-15-2008 09:16 AM

thanks. trying to drop a lot though so its gonna be a long road. im still deciding on the workout in general i will use. i will use my sled at least 3 times a week, but if my knee is cool with squating i mya try to see what thstarting strength workout will be like but im just thinking about it. i rememebr talo said i can still drop weight on it, and i seen a difference in my legs after just a few workouts so i will decide after a while

hrdgain81 10-15-2008 10:57 AM

Good bread monsta. I'm a big fan of resistance cardio, after I got that vest and started hitting the incline, I'm in love dude. Shit isn't easy, but its a great workout.

MONSTAFACE 10-15-2008 11:11 AM

yeah man. i was like so done after i did that shit man. shiiiit i was gonan try to do my max on the bench today and i dont even know anymore. i still feel tired lol. i love the feeling though

MONSTAFACE 10-15-2008 11:57 AM

im gonna try it today. got somewhat of a stiff neck since tuesday morning. not all the way stiff. i can turn my head to the left but hurts to turn it to the right, especially to sneeze, yawn and eat with a fork. but i have had this before just recently so once i warm it up i should be ok for today

MONSTAFACE 10-15-2008 11:57 AM

oh shit i meant to post that in my other journal lol. my bad :)

MONSTAFACE 10-15-2008 04:56 PM

i did a litte bench work and failed on my max. like i said i had a stiff neck and it fucked me up. thougth i could work through.

i was so pissed i just went up and down the basketball court the long way. i lost count of how many times i did it. i just used 3 plates. and i just kept going up and down till i thought it was enough.

MONSTAFACE 10-15-2008 04:57 PM

kind of bumbed out right now so forgive for the short post

MONSTAFACE 10-19-2008 12:25 PM

WORKOUT

ab roller
3x12

captains chair
3x12

pullups
3x3

squats
5x5 @ 275

bench
5x5 @ 275

pedley rows
5x5 @ 185

curls
5x5 @ 110

calf raises

first time doing squats since like may or early june. fetl so good to finally be able to do them. weight didnt feel heavy but it felt like i just needed to get used to doing squats in general again. i usually dont use wraps but i used them today just to be safe. DAMN IT FEELS SO GOOD TO SQUAT!!!! i made sure i did a few leg presses and used some light squats first to test it out.

it feels like all in all my legs arent 100 percent but every time i do some work with them they get better and better. this is the best i have felt in months.

since i feel up to it i am gonna go with starting strength for about 4 to 6 weeks. depending on how i feel at the end of the week i will see if i will make 5 pound or 10 pound jumps next week. im gonna ride with this program because before i got all jacked up i was gonna do this. and i feel like it will help me get my legs back up under me. also since i am on a diet as of right now i feel like it will help me keep upperbody strength while getting my legs back up to par.

when i am done this program e-money suggested some single leg stuff so i want to work on that and doign some front squats,OH squats, cleans, and other stuff.

you dont understand how happy i felt being able to do squats today.

other than that. i have been eating super clean. nothing but chicken drumsticks, salads, fruits, eggs, and cherrios, skim, milk, and water. i went back to my people house yesterday and decided to use my cheat meal while i was there. ate some fried chicken and macaroni and cheese. i had 2 to 3 small servings each.

this week i will add some sirlion steaks, london broil, and some salmon to my diet. i wanted to actually wanted to see what kind of routine i would be doing before i added steaks and what not. i wanted to know how much of it i would be eating.

i will be doing 3 to 4 days of cardio a week. also. sleed pushing and some other stuff. i tried to run today and it was the most fluid i have felt in a long time. feels like i can go about half speed running fluidly. probably faster but im in no rush. i def feel liek the sleed pushin has helped me in regards to running a little more fluid. but i will take it one step at a time.

i have been concerning myself with numbers for a minute, so instead of that i will focus on progress in general. i dont want any setback. i just want to keep working. the weight i posted isnt super heavy but remember im still rehabing.

i will post my weight tomorrow

Ross86 10-19-2008 01:27 PM

Good stuff man. Sounds like you're doing well. It's good to see that you're keeping mind that you shouldn't rush. Keep it up :)

Pitysister 10-19-2008 03:12 PM

i agree with him.... ^^^ up there :)

TALO 10-19-2008 04:13 PM

Very good stuff. Way to stick with the diet all week - to most that's the hardest part :D

MONSTAFACE 10-19-2008 04:55 PM

thanks for the encouragment fellas.

and the diet thing wasnt to hard for me because i know i need to loose weight. just seeing the scale climb was gettin depressing. plus im tryign aa few things ot keep me successful. like using the drumsticks. they arent as fatty as the thigh and they are somewhat close to the same amount of protein as chicken breast. eating chicken breast over and over gets dull after like 2 days. but with these drumsticks the meat is way better so i keep eating them with no problem.

i also posted the picture of my start off weight on my desk at my office. and my desk is right by the printer so everyone sees it. so if i slack up everyone will know.

of course everyone looks at the pic with my weight on it and always says "YOUR 300 POUNDS? I DONT BELIEVE THAT, YOU DONT LOOK LIKE IT AT ALL"

i will do a few things here and there to keep the diet interesteing.

Pitysister 10-19-2008 04:58 PM

i f'ing love drumsticks. no dry ass gay breast meat.

me to. i was using them at one point because of how much protein they have and the amount of fat, etc. but man they suck after eating them so many times. i have always loved the darkmeat but i seen that the thigh had so much more fat and didnt compare when it came to protein. but when i was in BJs i seen they had 24 drumstick for like 9 to 10 dollars, i felt like i hit the jackpot.

i fuckin live drumsticks to and i havent got tired of them yet. not even close. so im gonna be a drumstick eating as dude with a change up here and there

Pitysister 10-19-2008 05:16 PM

yeah, they never get old...fried...baked....bbq...mmm

the drumstick is the only part of a turkey i will eat.

Darkhorse 10-19-2008 06:50 PM

Looks good in here Monsta. Did you ever get that sled?

MONSTAFACE 10-20-2008 12:42 AM

sure did. and i loved it. i did it like twice last week. i used it on the basketball court they have in my gym. i love that shit. cant pull it as of yet because the harness that came it is to small. so i just have been pushing it. i love that shit though.

it def was a good substitue for me not doing any lifting last week due to me preparing to try to bench that 500 in the other thread.

I LOVE THAT THING!!!!!!

i will b using it today

weight as of 10/20/08

Ross86 10-20-2008 03:36 AM

Wow, you're shedding that weight. It's funny how quick it drops off when you get strict with the diet.

Good work :)

TALO 10-20-2008 04:50 AM

Nice drop Monsta. 12lbs is great !

Do you have a weight goal in mind ?

Pitysister 10-20-2008 05:18 AM

Great work Monsta!

MONSTAFACE 10-20-2008 06:52 AM

thanks fellas.

i am working for at least 30 but im shooting for 50 pounds. i don tthink 30 pounds will be to hard to get to, but i think going to 50 will be rough due to the fact that i want to work on my legs big time. put im just gonna take it real slow.

but getting to 250 will be my weight from when i was like 14 to 15 years old.
