| Rank: Light Heavyweight Experience: 3-5 Years | TALO, when he said "tight" i presume (from the rest of all of his posts) that he is a newbie and he probably tightens it to the entent of which its almost suffocating. when i say it should be loose, i mean it just like any other tom dick and harry powerlifting/strongman would: tight enough for you to gulp in a huge breath of air and hold it. |

back to your original question: velcro belts are good however they arent very good at heavier weights. old school leather belts are way better in these strength-training scenarios. IMO velcro belts kinda suck. | |

Gender: | I agree. With heavy weights the velcro belt does not do as well as a buckle (plus the thought of the velcro coming loose is not pleasant) IMO which is why when I do use a belt it has a buckle. ![]() |
