Gender: | Yes, over time I do feel sometimes too sore to evan lift. But what do you say when I should do dead-lifts/squats. On my upper body days I am breaking it up into certain parts I will be lifting. I do not have dumbells to do flat dumbells though, sorry. I need to get some for my home, but school is coming back soon, so I am gonna hit after school to do some leg lifts/upper body lifts I don't have at home. Mainly alot of lifts with dumbells, lower body stuff, and lifts for my back. |

Gender: | For dumbells? I thought they were about a dollar every 2 pounds. Well, what kind of weight do they have there? Will have to stop by there and buy some then. |

| the only advice i can really give is for when you get back to the gym at school. Do yourself a favor and dont overtrain. I was in the habit of doing this in high school, hitting bodyparts twice a week, and while it did help me cut, I saw very few strength gains from it. As soon as i cut back, my wieghts shot up. and your dam right wieghts are exspensive. there is really no way around it, but if you try sams club, bj's, or costco they should have them a little cheaper. |

| If house weights are your style, buy an inexpensive plate set from sears/walmart/champs/dicks. 300-345 olympic set with bar for $100-150. For dumbells, go to a sporting goods store and buy olympic dumbellbar set. I think its around 35 for the set. I use mine for anything over 50lbs. I hate using the 25 plates on bumbells, Ive come across some that are more fat than tall, so they are easier to use. Or, buy a set of dumbells, 5's-45's. I spent $250 from my local sams club. The rack is kinda chincy, but they are plastic coated DB's, with a fatter grip. Much better than the regular cast iron skinny hadled ones I used ot have. And ebay it up. Go to the excercise area, and search within 200 miles or so from ya. I did like the information provided at ast-ss.com. Max-OT is not for a beginner tho, as 0311 has pointed out. A good body split, and working on form, and continue building on weight lifted, solid. Smart from the start Yeah, I pimp t-nation alot, maybe because there is sooo much info. My head hurts from reading. Maybe I should get back to work. Good info on the overtraining hrdgain. |

| This is kinda what they are, http://www.afitnessequipment.com/Rub...l-Package.html DUMBELL RACK WITH RUBBER COATED DUMBELLS - The ones at sams were 5-45's and the rack was made by TSA. The weights may be Weider name brand, but who knows where they are sourced from. There are probably a few comps that make all the dumbells. These are nice because of the grips. I would go with commercial quality, ivanko or something if you have cash and want the higher weights. This is just fine for any home BB. |
