Default Question- endurence workout vs strength workout

Lets say there is an experiment with 50 guys. All are able to do 50 pushups and bench 150 weighing in at 130. If 25 trained for endurence by doing pushups to failure, and the other 25 trained by trainig for strength on the bench press goin to failure, who would have a higher increase in both areas (bench and # of pushups).

im going to guess and say people who were using a benchpress simply because u can go up in weight on the bench, pushups u can just do more and more with the same body weight
