Default Running - Pain on my Shins

I have been running during my lunch time for the last couple of weeks and I do some streching before I start. No matter how much streching I do I still get bad shin burning pain.

I haven't ran in a long time before I started this but I have been actively playing soccer and running some time ago.

What is the best way to strech or somehow get rid of this unsual blocking pain I have?

How old are you? You could be growing when I use to run long distance the coach told us that we are at a growing stage and your shins could hurt from it and they are weaker so easier to break at that time.

Thats probably definitly what they are. I use to have them. I either don't have them anymore or I just don't notice them.

After I put the post yesterday or the day before I was searching online some more. I found an exercise that had to do with standing up facing the wall and putting each leg at a time behind with the toe touching the ground and then rotating the heal. It really worked today when I ran. I also noticed that when I put some extra streching and drink some more whater a couple of hours before I run the pain was reduced. I am starting to think that it is just because I am just picking up running again.

Hey thanks a lot.

By the way, off topic, tunna freaking stinks. I am having only chicken from now on.

Take Care!

U might be right, it happens to me for the first few days when I start running during cutting. When I am not cutting, I just do stationary bike or just the elliptical so the shins doesnt bother me at all.

This is pretty normal from my experience. Like apoc said, when I didn't do cardio for a long time and then started up again my shins used to kill also. I found it was especially bad when I would do the treadmill without any elevation. Stretching helps but so does doing something thats easier on your legs like an eliptical until your legs get used to the extra work.
