Whats the best "method" for getting ready for competition?

I have 9 weeks until my competition, and I was wondering what everyone thinks the best "method" is for getting ready for an appearance/strength competition...please post your ideas, or what you do, thanks.

Get a tan, practice your routine over and over. Posing posing posing.

You may want to check out the article by Layne over at BN which gives advice for contest preparation. I personally haven't entered any competitions as thats not really my goal, but alot of first timers have praised this article.

Does anyone have a link to the article hardgain posted not too long ago about precontest dieting? I found that one pretty helpful.

I think Hrdgain was posting Layne's article over at bb.com

Cool, will have to look it up. I keep telling myself I might try an amateur comp if I get my BF low enough.

Probably high teens. I never measure it really, but rather use the mirror to judge

Hey GD! No time is better than the present!
You have to have a stepping stone somewhere. It took me until last week to finally realize what I started 16 weeks ago. I am not as low BF as I wanted, but it's trial and error. I know now what to do diff with my bod for next time. Do the show even if your 9%. It's great experience. Can't expect perfection the first time around.

I put my expectations sooo high for myself. I realized, man I'm comin from 31% BF, I should be happy I can wear a two piece! My current BF is 17%.
So, give yourself a break and do it!
