You're right, that stuff is expensive.

If I were you, I would go to nutraplanet.com and buy a 3.3lb tub of waxy maize starch (Kwik Carb) and 1kg of creatine monohydrate. (They're both nutraplanet brand). Then get the cheapest protein that you can find (optimum nutrition or dymatize are good options). An alternative suggestion is to buy a weight gainer (whatever is cheap) and nutraplanet's creatine. That should have an equal effect.
