Default New Routine

Hi, everyone. First I just want to say I'm new to this sight so anyone that can help me out, Thanks VERY MUCH!!!


I basically want to start out a new routine, I want something that is going to help me burn fat and gain musle tone. Typically. I think I need to start slowly and work my way up, only thing is I have no idea where to start.

I'm 5'8 and 203 lbs..down from 225 when I delivered my son. That only came from eating right and has haulted in the last few weeks. I'm 22 years old, and I don't have any injuries or anything that would keep me from doing anything.

So if anyone has any ideas please get with me ASAP!!!

training - Starting Strength
diet - i duno
cardio - minimal
recommended reading - starting strength and practical programming

Tell us what you are eating on a daily It sure would help some of us give you a better direction....

Glad to see you working to get in better shape after giving birth to your son.

I recommend reading the stickys on diet and "cutting" and cardio. Also a good routine for you to try is DFHT. It involves working upper body one day and lower body the next. rest for a day and repeat.

Dave, lol, she just had a child and you're recommending an advanced high volume loading protocol. That crasazy.

She needs a beginer's routine.

Fullbody lower volume and higher intensity at a beginner's level will promote more overall fat loss and toning. Couple that with a little HIIT and/or traditional steady state cardio and you'll be well on your way. The training is easy compared to eating right.

Gotha . I'm down with that. I'd actually recommend a full-body for those reasons I mentioned above and because it will require less frequency. More recovery time and more time to put in whatever cardio without overtraining.
