The Body Opus by Dan Duchaine predates Lyle's books.

"The Precontest Bible" looks like an interesting book by Larry Pepe. Although I'm quite sceptical about his "Sprayflex" line of homo supplements.

Dan and Lyle were critical of Pasquale's Anabolic Diet only in that he didn't include exercise timing with the diet. I think with cyclical ketogenic diets, exercise timing is crucial for the anabolic effects of the diet, as well as reinstituting the keto phase for fast and consistent bodyfat reduction.
