Default Health Bars

Hey guys, i'm looking for a good brand of health bars. The best tasting one I have found are the Tiger Milk bars, but I don't know how they compare to other brands. I can't handle the taste of most bars (Met-rex), but I can compromise. Any help appreciated.

what are you looking for in a "health bar". I perfer not to eat bars unless i make them myself. most bars are actually packed with sugar. So your goals and diet would denote what type of bar is 'ok'.

Protein bars are best used when traveling and you can’t stop or prepare real food.
I would not eat those as part of a regular diet.

By the way, I like the Met Rx.

Like X said I would turn to them as a last resort, but when I buy them I don't even care about taste anymore as I am more concerned with the macronutrient breakdown. In general, the better tasting they are the worse they are for you... kind of like a glorified candy bar.

Good advice is to look at what the first few ingredients are on the labels..for alot of the bars, such as Met-Rx Big 100 bars, Corn Syrup is actually number one or two on the ingredients list! Not exactly the kind of carbs I want to be consuming in the middle of the day.

So just look at the ingredients and use that in combination with what your goals are to see if a bar is really going to benefit you or hurt you.

Btw, the ones I take are the "AdvantEdge® Carb Control Nutrition Bar" just because of the ingredients and I am limiting my carb intake. Not the best tasting bar on the market, but they get the job done.
