Retaining muscle size
First off just to give you and idea of my size I'm 5'10 and weigh about 130 lbs. I've been lifting for about 3 years and for my size I can lift a good amount of weight(I can rep 135 lbs on the bench about 12 times on a good day) However when I'm at the gym when I workout my muscles really get a lot bigger and I look pretty big. The next day it looks as if I didn't workout the day before and in some cases I look smaller then the day before. My muscles don't feel as tight and I just feel skinny and weak again. Can anyone explain why this is? How I can fix it? I appreciate the help.

FYI: I take black powder before I work out and try to have at least 1 60 gram wheybolic protein shake a day.

What you are getting in the gym is a "pump". It is the muscles becoming engorged with blood and waste products. It's temporary and is not muscle growth.

You have to measure hypertrophy progress over months and years, not days.

I am. This has been going on for years ever since I started lifting.

If your saying you've had no progress for's two different things.

yeah i would assume your drastically undershooting your calories, i feel for you as for wanting to retain the pump from the gym all day, that would be amazing...bsn's nitrix aids with that effect a little

Most likley there is no PWO shake, your not getting enough food througout the day and your protein is to low.

Bottom line is eat, eat, eat. If you keep trying to hold onto that six pack you will never grow.

You're in the same boat as everyone else. You're never going to look as good unpumped as you do when your muscles are full.
The solution is simply to add more muscle (eat more, lift heavier) so you look muscular even when you're unpumped.
