Strongman Competition

My gym is having a strongman comp. on Sunday which i have decided to enter, just to test out some unusual exersizes, essentially those that don't soley involve either dumbells or barbells :) Now unfortunately this has come at a rather inoppertune time for me as i am currently a fortnight into cutting, and i was wondering for the next couple of days, or maybe Saturday at least, can i throw the cut diet out of the window? Now i don't mean eat shit but actually take some calories into my system in rediness for the comp. as i am afraid if i dont i may very well die after the first event!?

might as well. :) just don't overdo it.

yeah, if i were you i would start eating a few more calories right away, just to make sure that you have some energy for the competition on sunday. but, like some of the other people above me have said, don't go over the top, pig out, and make yourself sick or anything like that. just make sure that you have enough energy in your system to perform at your best.

of course my advice all assumes that you aren't cutting to try to get into a specific weight class. if you are trying to make a specific weight then obviously continue your cut until after weigh-ins and then have a re-feed before the competition

I sure would eat more. A cut can be continued after the comp. The comp. can't be redone at a later date! I've been in a leg press competition-it was great motivation! Good luck, and tell us how things go!
