You state you've been lifting weights, doing pull ups on and off since 07...so that tells me you're not consistent with training.

As for gaining weight you need to be 500 calories above your maintenance calories. It would help if you posted your daily eating plan for others to look at and give you some feedback.

My guess, you're not eating enough and not training as hard as you think you are.
