Most people have issues trying to hit their protein numbers, I personally can only eat so much chicken, beef, or whatever whole protein sources without getting full or sick of it.

I am supposed to hit around 56grams a meal and I find it helps sometimes to do a mix of whole foods and whey protein. So for example I'll get half the protein from whole foods and then just take a scoop of slower digesting whey to get the rest.

As mentioned whole foods are preferable, but the main goal is to get the protein in so if your throwing away half your meal because you can't finish it your not helping yourself.
