I agree with you.. I think we are hitting that point where we agree but are coming from different angles.
for example the one guy, Georges St. Pierre, fought Matt Hughes, as we all know is a big wrestling guy, in UFC 50. Georges St. Pierre caught Matt Hughes with a spinning back kick and stunned him :eek: . yes, that's right, he caught Matt Hughes, the UFC champion and one, of if not the best, grappler in UFC with a spinning (oh so pretty) back kick. so, you can catch a very good grappler with a spinning move.
now this is where I start to agree with you.
at the end of the fight Matt Hughes took St. Pierre down and won with a arm bar. St. Pierre is also a good grappler .
so what does all this mean.
St. Pierre saw an opportunity and used a spin move on an opponent and executed it with precision. so it can be done.
but, Matt Hughes is a better fighter and saw what he was up against. and took out his opponents one weapon, which was standup.
