it depends on how good you are and your sponsors. It's the sponsorships that brings in the big $$. If you don't get noticed on the stage you don't make crap.

I think it's super tough to make it in the pro's probably only the top 15-20 guys make it on b.b. alone, the rest probably have to suplement there income one way or another.

Take into account that they stay "on" year round and your talking a bit of money, here is one pro's cycle (btw this would probably kill normal people)

week 1----2000mg test cyp---150mg dbol/a day

^^^ It absolutely does matter. These guys would be huge whether they were using or not. It just makes them that much bigger. Shape, potential, etc...it all comes into play. If I were to do everything that Joker posted (and somehow not die), then I would still never make it onto the same stage as Jay Cutler or Victor Martinez.

You see thats where im confused Ross, theres a Welsh man by the name of James Lewis. I watched him on a program on tv the other day, they show pictures of him before he started bb and they interviewed his parents. Just before he started the guy was painfully thin, and i mean skinny. His parents were shocked when he went into bb because of how thin he was. If you looked at him now, man hes huge and in time will be world class. So what has happened? Are we saying this tiny man has the correct genes? Or have steriods played the bigger part?

everyone who lifts will achieve a certain amount of muscle mass, and I belive most people could, with proper training and diet be able to compeat in a local type show. but thats where it ends

there really are just a select few that can achieve the type of mass, and proportions that a pro can. it really is all in the gene's...IMO

He started taking steroids when he was in his teens. A huge proportion of kids in their teens aren't done growing or developing. When I was 18 years old, I weighed around 130lbs. Now I weigh around 190lbs at 22 years old. Not from steroid use. Most guys have a growth spurt a time or two during their teens and again in their early 20's.

Just because he was skinny when his parents last saw him doesn't really mean anything. I know several people that were very skinny 5 to 10 years ago, but have bulked up quite a bit without lifting weights. It's really hard to say where he would be without steroids, but he definitely wouldn't be as far along as he is now.. Obviously his training and diet are in order.
