Default Losing lots of inches but not much weight?

:o I have been working out since January and have lost 14 inches total, but not much weight. I am happy with the inches lost and want to lose more, will the weight come off in time? I would like to drop another 18 inches. Any suggestions?

I assume you mean around your gut. If you have lost 14" and maintained the same weight then you are obvisiouly putting on muscle. Keep at it and yes you will eventually lose some weight.

I have lost all over mostly in my waist and chest, lower bellt still way too big for my liking

Just keep what your doing it seems to be goin well for you and if your losing inches but not weight you must be replacing it with something thats muscle.

Muscle weighs more than fat. If you are losing inches but maintaining weight, as these guys have said, just keep it up.

I hate scales. Once I start using them I become obsessed with them, so I try to stay away from them. I used to need them when I boxed competitively, but now that I just train for sport and am more in to bodybuilding, I try not to use one. I swear, when I've had a scale around, I become like some bolemic (sp) Olsen twin.

I've since learned to judge myself based on my knowledge of my body and not much else. I know if I need to lose fat, or if I need to gain muscle/definition and where. I know the exercises I need to use to do it, and I don't care if I weigh 280 or 220lbs. As long as I get closer and closer to my goal.

I love losing inches on my waist. (I'm sure you guys all do too! Because the only thing more rewarding is putting them on in muscle). If you are concerned because you still have excess fat on the bottom of your gut, don't be. That's the slowest part of the stomach to lose fat, and all you have to do is continue with what you are doing and it'll go. Particularly if you've lost that much already. Keep it up bro!!!
