yes...definitely anti breakdown

got a bar around here that has lots of live music...and every time i go when it's supposed to be a "metal" night...all they have is hardcore bands...breakdown after breakdown...harsh vocal...and then sing like a teenage girl. although last time i was there....there was a power metal band there...short fat dude from chile singing super high notes was pretty cool...don't see that very often...

I agree that hardcore and most metalcore is crap but the deathmetal and grindcore mix is not bad. Just curious, Would you consider Lamb of God metalcore or metal.... or a mix? Just trying to get a feel of what you consider metalcore is.

kind of a mix...randy varies his vocals up a bit...and doesn't sound like the typical metalcore vocalist....i loved new american gospel even though it was recorded like shit...even the "remastered" version as the palaces burn was good...then they had to do the political thing...did you ever listen to burn the priest? and what did you think of sacrament....i thought it was kinda....wienerish. it has it's moments..but..i dig the older stuff more.

i despise as i lay dying. when i think metalcore i think of them....i bought one album of theirs...i forget which one it was...been a couple years....i just remember it got reviewed in either a magazine..or and online magazine...it had nothing below like 200 hz....sounded like it was recorded in a tin can.

that and i just can't get into that vocal style....alot of people say "heavy" bands vocalists all the sound the same...can't understand anything...i can tell differences between growls...and black screams...of different people...but hardcore vocalists all sound exactly the same to me...i may not mind the music....but i gotta have a vocalist i can stand...
