Well.....I'm from Bombay. The coldest it gets is 70F. So I am not used to this 50F...especially when last weekend it got to 29F. I froze to death even though I was buried in 4 different layers of clothes.
Guess I'm a sissy

perhaps you just need to eat more ice cream
ya know i was reading through that post from neanderthal no more up there. and if you read mike robertson's "fix your force couples" there is nothing at all about "loosening" up the hamstrings for someone with anterior pelvic tilt. i wonder which one is correct?

If your anterior tilt is aleviated by stretching your hamstrings then you've found the answer. You don't need to wonder, you need to do

but in the "to stretch" column in the force couple article....ham's are not mentioned....just quads.....it's like "tight" hamstrings would help fix anterior tilt.

My mom is the classic example. She has APT. She never stretched her hips, only her hamstrings. Her doctor is a retard. It got worse from only stretching her hamstrings. I'm trying to get her to stop stretching her hamstrings and only stretch her hips. When she makes some progress, then hamstring stretching might be more beneficial. Stretching her hamstrings helped to alleviate some of her lower back pain, but it ultimately put her into more of an APT, I believe.

Spring 2009 Training
Mesocycle 5 - Week 1
Extra Workout
Beginning Thoughts:
I worked out with Paul and Didier today...I got a couple of their videos clipped to mine. Paul benched 275 lbs for 3 after doing 5 sets of 6 with 250 lbs. Didier practiced Deficit Deadlifts with 225 for sets of 3 (I believe it was 5 sets of 3). Workout:
Braced Squats v2:
5 lbs x 10 reps x 3 sets
I hate this exercise.
Overhead Squats:
105 lbs x 3 reps x 5 sets
135 lbs x 2 reps
150 lbs x 1 rep
165 lbs x 1 rep
I was so nervous while doing 165 I think I chocked on my heart.
Rope Chin-ups:
BW x 4 reps x 3 sets
BW x 3 reps
This towel I used was so thin it hurt like a bitch to a hold onto this!
Chin-ups:
BW x 5 reps x 3 sets
Chest Passes:
12 lbs x 10 reps x 3 sets
For teh abzzz... Videos:
Overhead Squats, Rope Chin-ups, Chin-ups and Paul and Didier's stuff:
Diet:
Protein = 300.5 grams = 38%
Fat = 145.3 grams = 39%
Carbohydrates = 197 grams = 23%
TOTAL = 3,290 Calories Overall Impression:
I hope y'all are having a good week

I agree that if you look at the force couple, tight hams should help with anterior tilt.
Stretching my hams has helped with lower back pain which has also helped me correct postural deficiencies (like tilt). So for me the point is mute as to whether it should or will help with tilt, it only matters that it does. That's all I was saying.
You also have to ask yourself, what are tight hamstrings doing for me? And how does stretching them play a part in the bigger picture, rather than what do they do for anterior tilt alone. But now I'm just playing Devil's advocate
