it's weird. in the sense....i've been having a shitload of humus everyday :biglaugh:

i'm actually gonna be making this thread about certain things i've learnt to do when on a vacation to make sure im not getting fat / deconditioned, etc. i'd really appreciate you guys' input because my knowledge regarding nutrition is fairly limited.

i think i might make this thread tonight...you guys have inspired me :)

Mabye a good idea but you've been training hard. As far as training, nothing wrong with taking a psychological break and enjoying you vacation. This sort of training is not so unforgiving. Do stuff if you want but don't "worry" over it.

Ok, sir. I'm just afraid with the lack of actual protein im getting in i will lose strength and become a weakling :1zhelp:

The food here is really rich in fats - olive oil, humus, nuts, etc are all over the place. I've been eating good food (I'm hoping) so far but i look a bit lean however i think thats because i am just deconditioned.

i will actually be taking some time off from training. im gonna be doing some really low volume stuff. its the weekend. i just wanted to squeeze in 2 good workout before i do "chilled" workouts for the next 5 days.....

thanks for the help, E....i will do what you suggest and relax more. 4-6 hours of walking around is good enough exercise :biglaugh:

:)

Well diet is up to you. Sure you may lose a bit of absolute strength and endurance but just a bit and it will quickly regain. You are after all, "going all out" in this program. If you felt froggy you could repeat the last week of the last phase (except ease into the first day). But really not necessary.

I guess really what I'm getting at is that there are more stressors in life other than just your training that effect your outcome. So always being pent up and worried about losing a bit of strength or whatever is just helping to build up more stress.

I agree, you need a break man.

When I was in Thailand for the holiday I did take with me a small grill, but I didnt use it since food there was pretty cheap and i had no trouble getting in protein.

Most important thing is about making smart choices. I would order 3 plates of ginger chicken and one cup of rice for a few bucks.

Im sure you will find a way. You're on holiday, dont over stress yourself.

Humus... :puke: Sounds like you're having an awesome time. I'm envious! :) I think you worry enough about nutrition that you'll end up doing ok as far as protein & carb consumption goes. For $100, I'll send you a 20oz filet mignon. :D

I see. You're right...diet is important but sometimes it's hard to get in so many square meals a day. So far I've been sneaking (or "stealing" if you prefer that :biglaugh: ) sandwiches out of the breakfast buffet and eating them at various intervals between breakfast and lunch and lunch and dinner. I went to the local supermarket (it's only a short 10 minute walk away) and bought soy milk to sip during the night...i'm just worried that im not getting my 275 grams of protein because although I probably eat way more than that it's not at different sittings so I am mostly wasting the protein away...

Oh well...like you said: the strength + endurance will get back fast. especially since week 10 of MS is another medium week...so i'm not that unlucky.

thanks a bunch, sir!!! :)
