i was just reading a robertson article the other night....i forget the title. but, there was a very good idea in it. like 3 times a day...get into your squat stance, and do bodyweight squat iso's....just have something to hold onto out front for balance...use a mirror or two, and just try to squeeze out more depth. but like kane said....hip ROM is not infinite

It kinda feels like my groin area is the limiting factor,it takes AGES to warm up to get any depth wehn wide,I dont know if it means anything but my lateral lunge depth is shitty too.Hmmm I will work on that more often and see how I respond.Pits will try that more often too as I do it for warmups but not daily.

Thx fellas

see if you can find an ART...or graston or ASTYM practicioner in your area....maybe you have some tissue restrictions in there.

I'd stick with ART or other qualified manual therapy. Rolfing for instance. I wouldn't touch Graston or ASTYM with a forty foot pole. Someone coming at soft tissue with "instruments" is a recipe for fucked upedness, imo.

If you act sanctimonious I will just list out your logical fallacies until you get pissed off and spew blasphemous remarks.

astym worked very well for my bicep tendonitis. it's alot less aggressive than most graston practioners....who just hammer on one spot destroying good tissue as well as fibrotic tissue. just depends on the practicioner....but my PT was not aggressive at all...just got in to activate the fibrotic tissue and out...sessions were quite short. as soon as i got up, i would hit up some 30-60 second static stretches and call it good.

I've never had an issue with my groin area when squatting deep / wide . My issue has been with my hams. So I can't really comment on what to do there. I can say that if your not using breifs , then put them on or get some because they help keep the hip area ( groin too ) tight and you shouldn't feel a thing .

As for going deep , it looks like your almost there , maybe a few more inches (on most of those lifts ) and you are there. I'm sure you don't want to drop the weight down , but that might be what you'll need to do to go down farther and then work your way back up.

The foam rolling will help too.

... It looked to me like you were in your suit also
