DE Bench Day
Benched vs 2 yellow bands today, used 1 plate for most sets and did alot of them paused.I have taken my grip out to pointer on the rings for my max grip, seems to shorten the ROM alot.Gonna work this grip for a while and see what goes.Anyway worked up a little at the end to 2 plates. Moved toKrocs next for high reps and then someCG banded pushups for RP, followed by pressdowns.Good session. ME Squat Day
Pulled sumo again today, went pretty well, hit 482lbs in the suit, NICE.This fucking suit is looser still now, I left my slipons on and it rode up alot, def felt like I wasnt getting as much out of it if that makes sense.I will up my calories by 250 a day on workout days from now on.I'll run a defecit on non training days.Anyways did ssb split squats after for sets of 8 then abs.Smoked at the end but happy with a strong day. GHRs 3x10-12 Some rolling fro the glutes and piriformis. Last nights refeed Chicken and pumpkin lasagne Huge salad with balsamic vinegar ¾ of a chicken roast coffee and a little chocolate Nice eating, pumkin is probably my favourite veggie, training wise my hams need work, they will get a lot more GHRs as warm-ups for a while until I can do them with added weight. |
ME Bench
Hit the 2 board again today, went for some doubles this time, did not hit a max set just did a bunch of quality reps.Took forever to warm the CNS up everything felt like shit. Also due to widening my grip out to pointer on the ring I have had to change racks. The other rack I have has the gayest hooks which makes unracking heavy weight a pain in the ass. I really need a lift off partner to use this rack.Arrrgghhhh. Anyways I will stick with this grip tho as it is way easier on the shoulders with the reduced ROM. I did a bunch of rest pause after for accessory work shying just short of failure for the most part. Just wanted to finish up as the body was saying nope don’t feel like lifting right now. You're finding that a wider grip is easier on your shoulders? I found it quite the opposite.

Box squatted vs a blue band today, worked around 260 then up to 290ish i think for doubles.Got some good work in then moved to SSB GMs, the worlds most humbling exercise, finished with roman chair situps.Great workout, really happy with the squatting. Might throw some vids up soon. DE Bench day Used straight weight today, and will do so for a while, bands just don’t seem to carry over to benching as well as squats do for me. Paused half my sets, TNG the rest then did a couple sets off a 3 board. I changed my setup to my feet tucked behind me with an arch (spent A LOT of time working my Tspine on the roller before hand) I felt tighter but felt like the leg drive was not getting to the bar.I couldn’t feel them helping a lot? I’ll try post a vid but the camera is being dicky so who knows.Finished with some DB rows then high rep CG pushups.I like pushups. ME Squat Day Pulled raw vs 2 orange bands today.Hit a couple PRs I think, I havent maxed on these for a while but the strength was there.I think I hit 350+Bands.Moved to DB split squats next and used the 40kg bells.Finished with RHs light and then obliques.Good day.
