Did you eat many carbs between waking and your workout yesterday?

I hope you feel better. Same thing is happening here...but the opposite weather. We have had the first few cold days of Fall this week and people are starting to get colds.

DE Squat Day

Had a shitty little workout tonight.Hayfever is still kicking my ass.I did Speed squats today with my yellow and orange bands together, so a little bit less tension than with the blues.I was a bit slow tho, I think due to feeling shitty.Moved to a few deadlifts next but my heart wasnt in it so I ended things there.

DE Squat Day 19/9/08
Box Squat @ 50% + yellow and orange bands 10x2 65kg
Deadlidts 6x1 80kg

DE Bench Day

Finally had a better day today, speed was a bit slow on bench but I used the orange bands, so that was more tension than last week.Might stick to the yellows, not sure yet.Moved to JM press next, these are a kick ass exercise, nothing smashes the tris quite like JMs for me.Finished off with Tate presses and then hammer grip pulldowns.Awesome day.

DE Bench Day 20/9/08
Bench @ 50% + orange band 8x3 50kg
JM Press 4x6 30kg
Tate Press 3x15
Hammer Grip Pulldown 4x10,10,8,8 105kg

If you ever feel like you're slow for speed squats, stop. Sometimes I'd be on set #5 or a planned 10 and have to stop. Other times I keep going fast as hell.

If it happens again, definately skip the deadlifting altogether. Instead, I'd like to see you hit the accessory work.

Now, if you don't feel up to that either, it's most important to just do heavy abs work and call it a day. Abs are the most important element here.

If you ever find your speed bench going very fast, don't be afraid to do a mini build-up here on your latter sets. Keep in mind as your grip goes out, your press gets stronger. I like working up my last half of speed sets at least once a month. Reps don't matter at the end, just do NOT fail.

Why would you want to stop all together ? I would just assume a person would lower the weight and continue on.

BTW - nice workout Hop.
