2/25/09

parallel front box squat:

160 x 1
170 x 1 (5 lb pr)
175 x 1 (10 lb pr)
170 x 1 x 3
165 x 1 x 2
160 x 1
160 x 2 x 1

stepups off of two pillows:

45, 2 x 10

double leg lowering on roller:

2 x fail

10 singles took awhile...and i wanted to be done so i grinded out a double :) front squats are not bothering my shoulder. so i'm gonna run with it until i see the surgeon.

really working on being very tight and upright on the front squats

stepups off the pillow are pretty fun...it inhibits the pushoff, and really allow to drive through the heel.

got results from mri/arthrogram back. rotator cuff/labrum/capsule all in great shape. but i raped my bicep tendon where it attaches in the shoulder. it's less than a third of the size it should be. the surgery to fix it didn't sound any fun at all....cutting the tendon and removing it from the shoulder and stapling it down on my humerus. plus 6-8 weeks immobilized. so started therapy today, super knowledgeable dude....he fixed my sisters lower back a few months ago. he said i could bring in a friend that has a ruptured disc for a free consult tomorrow. a really great experience. he told me the how/what/why of everything he did to me...and of the exercises he gave me. only place around here i have heard good things about, and they were true.

So how does this affect your workouts?

Pitysister 03-11-2009 03:55 PM

i certainly won't be doing anything upper body for awhile :) but i haven't been doing that for awhile now...i'll still be squatting and doing some one legged stuff. i did some back squats last week for the first time in a long time.
