oh so u've been following? nice. thanks a lot, sir

btw: im Angel of Death on IA's board

yeah somehow the bar alone felt too heavy for me.

maybe i should mention this: my triceps feel wierd to me. maybe they're becoming a weakness. im not sure. im trying to remember 2 situations which caused me concern.

1.) when i did dips they felt wierd. like they hurt when i was at a certain point. thats not supposed to happen.

2.) when i did some lying down (face down) internal rotations for my shoulder during shoulder rehab work last workout (monday) my triceps felt really tight. Eric knows which exercise im talking about: the one where u take 5 lbs dbs and u lie on ur face with ur hands at ur side and u raise them up. yeah my triceps actually got worked more doing that. is that a sign of weak triceps?

Dips suck, they hurt my shoulders like crazy. What about board presses or close grips, I love cgbp with a cambered bar, they are much easier on my wrists and shoulders.

All the best mate!

Anuj, I just want to point something out, and understand I'm not flaming, I'm not judging, I am trying to help.

im not sure why my bench press is getting weaker. maybe i need a break from benching. maybe not. lets see.
I know you had issues with your shoulders, and that is a pretty big set back. But in roughly 10 months you have made no improvement on bench press. At 185lbs you can most certainly push more wieght than this.

Your diet looks to be providing enough nutrients, but something is wrong if you havent gained in this amount of time. I will go through your log when I have some more time and see if I can see anything that may be causing this. But as I recall your bench was something that was lagging, and you wanted to focus on bringing up.

What is your current PR on flat bench?

in ten months i have pulled my bench from 135x5 to 215x1, i have converted my 3x3 max of 185 into my 10x3 max twice in 2 weeks. i have destroyed my old military press record of 120 lbs x 3 x 5 to 135 for 3x5 easy. and all this with the shoulder injuries.

I'm confused, the first day of bench in your journal here (1/11/07) that i quoted above has you doing 185x2? where is this 135x5 coming from?

I am not sure what you mean by converted your 3x3 max, to a 10x3 max. Has that contributed to you pushing your one rep max up at all?

also, what is your real PR, not estimated, is it the 215x1 you posted?

the first day of my journal i didnt have severe shoulder injuries. i got injured midway through. my 1RM dropped. 185x2 was as rare as ever for me. my form sucked and i needed a spot.

even then, i turned my 185x2 into 10x3x185.

theoretically it should. i havent done a 1RM test. i dont need to right now.

by converting my 3x3 max into my 10x3 max means that the 185 i used to struggle with to do 3 sets of 3 reps has now become a weight i can use comfortably to do 10 sets of 3 reps @ 60 second rest intervals.

no. 215x1 was a long time ago. even before my 3x3 max was 185. i dont do 1RM testing matt, so i have no idea what my 1RM is.

Plan sent.

And remember to do the thing I said on MP's. And remember that you are only doing it as long as you can do it very well. No slow, shitty, or forced reps.

Drop the second press on the next upper 2 also.

If you act sanctimonious I will just list out your logical fallacies until you get pissed off and spew blasphemous remarks.
