Wednesday's Workout
PM training:
MMA 1hr
Comp. Team Submission Wrestling 2 hour
OVERVIEW
Practices went very well. MMA was real fun and we worked a lot of combinations mixing hands and takedowns.
Comp. Team was one of the best thus far. The reason is I was able to roll with my coach and really try and show him what I learned and that I'm applying the concepts to my game and not just "doing moves". After our time was up he said I did real good. So hopefully this will translate to a promotion soon. We'll see. Other than that, we worked on lots of conceptual things and some really cools moves that I was doing by mistake when I grappled my coach. It was just a very Zen evening.

135lbs x 10, 7, 5, 5, 5
OVERVIEW
Well I went in for Comp team practice and I come to find out the coaches are out of town and didn't really tell everybody in the most effective way. So one of the girls that runs the gym also just got certified in Crossfit not too long ago and asked if the guys that showed up wanted to do a workout. Well I'm here already. The workout was very hard. The first exercise we did in the rounds was a KB snatch but then we place the KB down and put both hands on the floor and kick out legs out and back. The Supermans are not what some might typically thing. From standing position I sit down and roll halfway back so my feet are over my head and touch the ground then I roll back and to my feet and put myself into pushup position, do the pushup and then jump up. yeah kinda long explanation but it's not on youtube, or at least it called something else on youtube.
This is a KB Arm Bar
After wards I thought it would be a good idea to show the trainer the Burpee clean and presses that I do, bad Idea. I showed her and told her what I can do and that I want my goal to do in 1 round, 10 reps in 1 minute and repeate for 5 rounds and told her that I average 7 and go down from there most of the time. Then she says, "yeah, show me. You can tell me all you want but if I don't see it how can I believe you." I thinking, Man I just got done a workout and I'm tired and she want's me to do this now. Well I did it and I didn't even think I could get 10 in the first round. So as of now I have a new PR. After that I was beyond dead. She was impressed that I was still able to do anything. I guess having someone there to push you really does help.

Tuesday's Workout
Squats : 5x5 @ 225, 275, 285, 300, 315
Cleans: 5x5 @ 135, 150, 165, 185, 200
Bench: 5x5 @ 185, 195, 205, 215, 225
Blast Strap Dips: 3x8
Abs
Windshield wipers 3x10
OVERVIEW
Workout was great. I wanted to try cleans before bench and I don't know if I like it this way or not. Other than that everything when smoothly and I definitely have to get use to squatting heavy again, the core was not liking it. Dips were hard as hell. Doing them on a non stable apparatus is not easy. I don't know if I like them or not either. Only time will tell.

Monday's Workout
PM training:
MMA 1 hr
BJJ open mat 2 hrs
OVERVIEW
It feels so good to be back. A lot has happened, some good, some bad, some weird. First the bad, my school kinda split into two. Two of the top coaches/ grapplers have left because of management differences and that means the competition team is no more at that school. Good news, they opened up a school down the street and invited me to join. A lot of people followed them and I was presently surprised. So the competition team is still on, just at a different location. The weird news, I still like the old gym and feel weird going to both. I mostly go to the old one because they have bigger guys in their Muay Thai classes and I need that for Muay Thai sparring. The manager of the old gym and head coach have not said anything to me but know that I go to the other place. The new place knows I still workout at the old place because I told him that until they got the muay thai classes up to par, I would be training at the old place. So far it's been working out but I have to try and change my fees at the old place since I'll be going there less.
I'll keep you guys posted.
As for the classes, MMA was ok. I the guy that taught it is the Judo teacher and gave some tips that I know don't work because of what my Competition team coach said. Other than that, it was fun beating up on the bigger guys.
The BJJ class was at the new place, it's in a Sport and Health Gym and it was a packed house. The Coaches brought in a lot of upper belts they know and it was great to spar with guys you wouldn't normally spar with.

Tuesday's Workout
PM training:
Muay Thai 1 hr
OVERVIEW
Felt very sluggish today, mostly because I ate like crap. Class was great and I learned a great group of punching drills to use for reaction and timing. I've relized that my punches didn't have the same speed or snap that they use to. I don't know if it's because of the bad day I was having or just haven't hit the pads like I did last night in a while. I'll be keeping an eye on that and might work on more KB punching deloads from my cleans and snatches to help with that, of course working on the skill of punching too.
This is what I mean by the "punch deload". His form on the actual snatch is not so good..
