10/23

Bench day
Bench: 3x8x165, motivated today so that probably helped. Last rep was roughhh
Hack Squats: 3x8x230, up 5
DB overheads: 3x8x50's form was heinous
Rows: 3x8x160 form was... well, remember the whale humping the titanic? It wasn't quite that epically bad...
Accessories: done

As of today, I am done cutting. I am through with a) being small, b) not making strength gains, c) wasting time. Honestly, I'm not as thin as I want to be... like I've said before, I have a real hard time losing weight. I could have started bulking 2 months ago and there wouldn't really have been a difference. Frustrating, but everyone has their demons. Point is, it's time to cut the losses and start making gains again Starting to look into some supplements and programs, I need to spend some time with that tomorrow and I'll make a post in the training forum before finalizing the decision

Pretty much. It worked rather well last time, managed to gain a good amount of muscle as compared to fat. In the process of buying real food now. Much nicer! I'm going to look back into the VRI program I was thinking of starting before DH hit me in the head with logic, compare it to a 5x5 probably. If anyone thinks there's any merit in attempting the last of Rippetoe's again after 1.5mo off I'll look into that too, but we'll see when I do some research and make a thread on it.

Their best, IMO. What a Horrible Night is one of the best metal songs in existence. That pause just makes the song.

10/25

Did the Rippetoes A workout just to get a general idea of where I'm at with 3x5's right now, still looking into some other stuff but this was a good baseline

Squat: 3x5x205, up 5
Bench: 3x5x175, try a 5lb increase
DL: 1x5x325, relatively easy but in the interest of not hitting it too hard too soon I'll leave it at a 5lb increase
Accessories: done

Did the B workout today, once again with the benchmarks.

Squat: 3x5x210 up 5
Overheads: 3x5x100 could go up 10 probably, but will stick with 5
Rows: 175 ehhh...keep.
Pullups: 3x9 w/ 35lb keep
Accessories: done

I'm required to do them, which is the only reason I do at all. Not a fan I was doing the same with a 45lb plate pre-OCS, I'd like to get back to that. Now that I'm back to bulking I'll do some more weighted pullups, as opposed to the near-strict bodyweight stuff I was doing earlier.

Bulking with crazy cardio 6x/week is like having an eating contest with yourself every day

Tues 10/28: 172.2lb

I'll be starting a new journal in a few minutes here
